Sale of chametz

Attendance at a Siyum La’b’chorim, the celebration of completion of study of a unit of Talmud, lets first-borns enjoy a meal on what otherwise would be a fast day on the day before Passover. This year, the Siyum occurs following morning minyan, day, Thursday, April 10. Our custom has been to follow the Siyum with a congregational breakfast, which will also be the last time one is permitted chametz before Passover. Contributions to support this happy observance are much encouraged and greatly appreciated; you may send a check to the Temple office marked for the Siyum. Your donation will also assist us in providing a Kiddush for the congregation as we gather for the services at the beginning and ending days of Yom Tov.
