Predecessor congregationsThe current Temple Beth Tzedek was formed by a merger of Temple Beth El of Greater Buffalo and Temple Shaarey Zedek, in June, 2008. The latter had been formed by a merger, in 1968, of Temple Emanuel and Temple Beth David Ner Israel; both of these synagogues had their origins in Buffalo in the 1930s. Two outstanding leaders
